Wellbeing of Women Scholarships and Fellowship opportunities now open
on 14 April 2022
The Wellbeing of Women (WoW), in partnership with the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) and Burdett Trust for Nursing, scholarship and fellowship awards are now open for applicants.
Entry Level Scholarships (ELS)
Two WoW-RCM Entry Level Scholarships are available, with each successful candidate receiving up to £20,000 for research lasting up to one year.
Applicants must be midwives and members of the RCM.
Scholarships are for research that seeks to improve the practice of midwifery and maternity services, including postnatal services. Research will also be considered for topics around basic science, clinical and transitional research that aims to improve the health of women, girls and babies.
The application submission deadline is: Thursday 30th June 2022, by 1pm.

Postdoctoral Research Fellowship
Funding is available for one WoW-RCM Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, providing the successful candidate with up to £30,000 for their research lasting up to three years.
The research must be located in the UK and the successful candidate must be a midwife and a member of the RCM.
This award is intended to support research-active lecturers, or lecturer equivalent level, to gather data and strengthen their bid for longer-term research funding.
Submission deadline for applications is: Thursday 30th June 2022, by 1pm
